Australia’s SAS trained the Indonesian Special Forces. The same Forces that are perpetrating the military rule and systematic slaughter of anyone who disagrees with their (illegal) occupation of West Papua.

My father served with the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) and was deployed to Manus Island (New Guinea) in 1954 as a result of the Indonesian Uprising/Expansion.
So this persecution, slaughter and genocide has been happening since the 1950s and here we are in 2011 and we just let it continue to happen.

What ?I was referring to was that the world leapt to Libyas defence, when we have a part of the world (West Papua) that has been neglected for more than 50 years and no one, says anything about it.

I am surprised to read that the Australians were in Indonesia. If you read Obama’s first book you will see that the US (the CIA being much involved) were behind the murder of up to a million Communists and their families – there was no uprising. There was an invented putsch attempt used to justify this as it looked like a Communist government could get in by election.
You need to review your history of the events post WW2. Indonesia expandaed and Siharto (speeling) wanted everything and anything he could get.
The reason Australia purchased the F1-11 fighter bombers was because Australia wanted a plane that could, if necessary, bomb Jakarta and fly home given we didnt and still dont have dedicated fuel refueller planes.
We were in various places during the “Indonesian Uprising” and from my dearly departed Dad, the issues were poisoning of water – reservoirs etc.

IT is supposed to be New Guinea. Indonesia is not welcome there by international law, and their occupation has never been sanctioned yet they ARE there and the ARE killing indiscriminantly and without policy.
It is an international disgrace that everyone has ignored since the 1950s.
